Liver Detox, 1 kit: W 7-day liver cleanses are really popular nowadays. I do not think that 7 days are enough to make toxic liver clean again. On the other hand, three 7-day liver cleansing courses will make 21 days and it should be enough to really detoxify the many thousands of toxins that have accumulated over the years. 21 days is usually what the body needs to change its old ways and to start reviving itself. If you don’t have time to learn about liver detoxes, try this simple Liver Detox from Renew Life. This liver Detox is a two-part cleanse program that promotes healthy detoxification and cleansing of the liver. Having Dry Skin Winter?

February 17th, 2010 by Mary | No Comments | Filed in Relax

Cold weather can contribute to dry skin. So what can help? The American Osteopathic College of Dermatology offers these suggestions to help prevent dry skin:

Bathe no more than once daily, sticking to short (no more than 15 minutes) baths or showers with lukewarm water. Use a mild soap or gentle cleanser that won’t dry the skin. Avoid deodorant soaps. Don’t scrub the skin while bathing or drying. Apply a rich moisturizer as soon as you get out of the bath or shower. Use sunscreen daily. Use laundry detergent without fragrance, and avoid fabric softeners. Run a humidifier at home during the winter months.

The Mediterranean diet is not only wildly popular around the world but also considered to be one of the most healthful diets of all that have received in-depth research attention.

The researchers teased out the contribution of the nine dominant components of the traditional Mediterranean diet that account for the lower mortality. In descending order of importance, the components are: moderate consumption of alcohol (primarily wine), low consumption of meat and meat products, high consumption of vegetables, high consumption of fruits and nuts, high consumption of oil (mostly olive oil) and high consumption of legumes (e.g., beans, lentils).
