Constipation as a Side Effect of Drug Use

July 31st, 2009 by Mary | No Comments | Filed in Digestive Supplemets

Constipation-8Many drugs affect the organs of the digestive system and the organs of elimination. Constipation is one of the most common side effects caused by the drugs like anti-depressants, pain medications, antibiotics, laxatives, birth control pills, steroids, marijuana, etc.

Antibiotics destroy good and bad bacteria in the digestive tract and can cause overgrowth of yeast and fungal. Same effect on the body can have anti-depressants and pain killers, as they weaken the immune system.

Even the herbal laxatives such as senna act by irritating and dehydrating the bowel, which can aggravate the constipation problem and make you need more laxatives more often. Pharmaceutical laxatives can also cause mineral depletion and lead to a ‘leaky gut’. Plus, laxative abuse can lead to kidney failure.

Birth control pills – their use can contribute to an increase in yeast due to an increase in unnatural progesterone. They also increase the risk of gallstones.

Steroids (like cortisone and prednison deterioration of the intestinal lining, which in the end can lead to constipation. They are also damaging to the liver.

Marijuana is usually considered harmless, but it sets up conditions favorable to  yeast overgrowth, which leads to constipation.

To clear your system of all unnecessary drugs, start drinking more tab water and begin a detox program. I would start with a colon cleansing tea from Health Plus:

Drink colon cleansing tea at least for a month once or twice a day. And after that do a full colon cleansing program. The colon cleansing tea will help your body to get ready for a colon cleansing. By starting with the colon cleansing tea you might avoid healing crisis, which people usually experience during the first weeks of colon cleansing.

Cure Yeast Infection: Foods to Eat and Avoid

June 16th, 2009 by Mary | 5 Comments | Filed in Yeast and Candida

In order to cure or prevent yeast infection, you need to avoid some types of foods and include others into your daily diet. I made a list of foods I try to avoid:

1. Eliminate sugars and artificial sweeteners as well as foods containing them. Well I know from the experience that this is very difficult to do. Not only because I can’t live without some good dark chocolate, but also because everywhere you look you will find sugars. Did you know that even a regular ketchup found in your local supermarket contains sugars? Sugars feed bad bacteria, so you need to stay away from sugary foods at least while you are trying to fight Candida.
2. Avoid fruits and fruit juices, except for Granny Smith apples. If you have to have some fruits, allow yourself strawberries or blueberries. Stick to freshly prepared vegetable juices. No canned and frozen juices!
3. Avoid yeast-containing foods. Here I mean: most of the breads, beer, wine, and pickles.
4. Yeast is a mushroom. So, stop eating mushrooms altogether.
5. Avoid dairy products and all types of cheese. If you have to have a yogurt, then it should be a plain one without sweeteners. Cheeses actually contain or are molds or yeasts.

This video provides a list of some foods you should eat when fighting yeast.

vaginal yeast cureEspecially if you suffer from vaginal yeast infection, it is advisable that you change your diet. Many look at vaginal infection as something minor that can be treated with the antibiotics. But, antibiotics are harmful for the liver. Not only the adults, but also the kids can have the yeast infection or parasites. A video, you will find below, explains that child’s behavior changes due to either of the infections. It is hard to believe, but after  seeing this video, you will be able to tell whether your child is infected. Please see it. I was amazed what effect the yeast overgrowth and the parasites have on our children.

anti-parasite2 popular anti-parasite products:
